Fantastic machine. I paid for assembly which I recommend. If you are trying to get fit, your first machine should be a treadmill and this should be your second machine. Why? The motion is unique, a more vertical oval than horizontal one, and this gets you fitter, faster. For the upper body, those looping handles mean you can place your hand grip in all kinds of positions and work different muscles of your back and legs/glute. The possible variants crush most ellipticals out there. The motion is smooth and the footprint is small for a machine of this kind. Between a treadmill and this I would take this, as I can always jog outside, but I can’t get a stair climber meets elliptical on my own.
In 2010, a study of 9 males and 9 females were chosen to exercise at the same RPE on the treadmill or elliptical and found that energy expenditure and oxygen consumption were the same in the two forms of exercise equipment.[6] Thomas Altena, a professor of nutritional and exercise physiology at the University of Missouri-Columbia, measured oxygen retention, lactic acid build-up, heart rate, and perceived rate of exertion to compare treadmills and elliptical trainers,[7] finding that the "physiological responses associated with elliptical exercise were nearly identical to treadmill exercise".[7] However, it is important that the resistance set on the elliptical machine is at a relatively high setting, depending on the user.[8]

As it is basically a conveyor belt, the treadmill can be used for activities other than running. If horses are being tested (especially in jockey racing) they will be put on a specially constructed treadmill. Large treadmills can also accommodate cars. Treadmills can also be used to exercise dogs that are accustomed to running on a conveyor; however, tying the leash to the treadmill should be avoided as it can cause serious injury.

Not only do we have one of the largest selections of treadmills to choose from, we also carry the top brands in the fitness industry such as True Fitness, NordicTrack and Horizon Fitness. These award winning brands allow us to offer the best treadmills with premium construction and lasting quality to ensure a powerful and comfortable cardio workout. The treadmills we carry are always built with safety in mind and are ideal for anyone, regardless of size or fitness level.

A treadmill is a device generally for walking or running or climbing while staying in the same place. Treadmills were introduced before the development of powered machines, to harness the power of animals or humans to do work, often a type of mill that was operated by a person or animal treading steps of a treadwheel to grind grain. In later times, treadmills were used as punishment devices for people sentenced to hard labour in prisons. The terms treadmill and treadwheel were used interchangeably for the power and punishment mechanisms.

Common maximum treadmill incline settings are 10, 15 and 20 percent. Generally, only the cheapest treadmills have 10% max setting. Most people are satisfied with a 15% limit. A subset of treadmills called incline trainers have steeper max slopes.  Incline Trainers can tilt to 40%, for example. These allow very rapid calorie burn, even at slow paces.
